Breathwork
Breathwork has been a profound part of my personal healing journey, and I am passionate about sharing its power with others. Our breath is one of the most accessible tools for regulating the nervous system, releasing stored emotions, and creating lasting shifts in the body and mind.
When we change the way we breathe, we change the way we feel. Breathwork can calm an overactive nervous system, help process unresolved emotions, and build resilience over time. Whether you need grounding and relaxation or a space to release and let go, I offer different styles of breathwork to support you.
The Science behind Breathwork
The way we breathe directly influences our nervous system, brain function, and emotional state. Many of us live in a chronic state of dysregulation—stuck in stress, anxiety, or overwhelm.
Breathwork works by shifting the balance between the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) nervous systems, helping the body return to a place of safety and balance.
• Downregulating Breathwork (e.g., Coherent Breathing, Box Breathing, Extended Exhales) helps calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and restore a sense of safety.
• Emotional Release Breathwork (e.g., Conscious Connected Breathing, Transformational Breath, Holotropic-inspired practices) helps access deeper layers of stored emotions, allowing the body to process and release what it no longer needs.
How Can It Benefit you?
Downregulating Breathwork (Coherent Breathing, Box Breathing, Extended Exhales)
These gentle breath techniques help calm the nervous system and restore balance, making them ideal for those experiencing stress, anxiety, or overwhelm. Benefits include:
• Reducing anxiety and overthinking
• Regulating the nervous system and improving resilience
• Supporting better sleep and relaxation
• Lowering heart rate and blood pressure
• Creating a sense of safety and grounding in the body
• Enhancing focus and emotional stability
Emotional Release Breathwork (Conscious Connected Breathing, Holotropic-inspired Practices)
This deeper style of breathwork helps process stored emotions, past trauma, and unexpressed feelings, allowing for profound shifts. Benefits include:
• Releasing suppressed emotions and tension stored in the body
• Processing grief, trauma, and emotional blockages
• Feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to yourself
• Accessing deeper states of awareness and insight
• Breaking through patterns of emotional stagnation
• Restoring a sense of freedom and emotional flow
Both approaches support nervous system regulation and self-healing, offering different ways to reconnect with yourself. Whether you need calm and balance or deep emotional release, there is a breathwork practice to support you.
